The Magnolia Historical Society was spearheaded in 1993 by Celeste Graves and Patsy Ogden-Williams. The Society manages and maintains the Historic Depot Complex, located on Melton Street next to the Magnolia Community Building - in the heart of downtown Magnolia, Texas.  Here you will find:

  • The Magnolia Depot Museum
  • The historic doctor's office and barbershop of the late Dr. Ware
  • An antique sawmill
  • The Houston Area Blacksmith Association facility
  • A Southern Pacific Caboose in historically accurate colors

Most of the historic items preserved at the Depot complex are generous donations from families who have lived in Magnolia.  If you have historic photographs or other memorabilia from Magnolia's history that you wish to share and preserve - please contact us.

We thank the Historical Society's members - these volunteers lend their time and talents to preserving the rich history of the Magnolia area for you and for generations to come.
